Well, I’m more than sure that some situations are better suited to photos and others are better captured in motion, so parents can always just shoot both. Though, there is no doubt that videos handily beat photos as they contain more stuff. I mean movement, dialogue, facial expressions, and consequently, more emotional resonance or, in other words, they help people remember what some past moments felt like, sounded like, how frustrated and stressed-out and over-the-moon everyone was all at once. I’d also say that videos show the truest moments and tell the stories that feel real, which adds to my explanation why I think that they are better for keeping childhood memories.
