Well, it depends on the giver and their skills. Not everyone has the skills to make homemade gifts well so not every self-made present will be really appreciated by me. If the giver can make some gift of a really good quality, I’ll definitely opt for it as self-made gifts are always one of a kind, which gives them special meaning. What is more, they send me the message that I was worth the time that was spent on creating them, which also adds to the fact why I consider them extremely valuable. But if the giver is not a good craftsman, I’ll definitely choose a store-bought gift as quality of the product is what I value more than customizability and personalization.
