What Are The Differences Between Being Friendly And Being Polite? Latest Answers

Câu trả lời mẫu cho câu hỏi: What are the differences between being friendly and being polite?

To my mind, the main difference is that one can be polite without being friendly ’cause being friendly means being generally warm, approachable and easy to deal with, whereas being polite means being well-mannered. Politeness is just about etiquette and manners, meeting a social standard, whilst friendliness is about openness and warmth. So, as l’ve said before it’s possible to be polite and unfriendly at the same time. For example, when you are polite, you say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. You may hold the door open for somebody, or let them go through the door first. You speak to people nicely. However, you may not show honest positive affection for these people.
