I think this difference exists because all people are different and what is easy for some of them can be really hard for others. To my mind it’s difficult for people to accept advice if they perceive their reality differently from the way others see it or if they mistakingly assume that they can handle the situation themselves. I also think it can be hard to accept advice if people are stubborn, afraid of the unknown or just not ready for positive changes. Alternatively, it’s really easy to follow somebody’s advice for people who are open to new things and trust those who give them advice.
