I’m more than sure they should because obedience always pays off in the long run as rules and regulations are designed to keep us out of trouble at any age. Childhood is a time in which children are under the authority of parents for the purpose of preparing them to be independent adults. At this time in their lives, guidance from parents protects them and prepares them for the future. This means that learning obedience as a child can follow into adulthood which can keep a child out of trouble for a lifetime, bringing them happy relations in their families and at the workplace. So, yeah, parents definitely should request their children to obey them.
