Câu trả lời mẫu cho câu hỏi: Should it be compulsory for the rich to donate money to charity?
Absolutely not. To my mind, a ‘mandatory charitable donation’ is an oxymoron ’cause compulsory donations to anyone would just be another form of tax, or levy, or subsidy, or whatever you want to call it. So making rich people donate money to charity is nothing more than imposing more taxes on them, which, in my opinion, is just a kind of discrimination. I believe that all people should have equal rights and obligations. So all people regardless of their income should be given a choice and be able to spend their money on what they think is right. In addition, this would encourage the rich to escape paying more taxes by moving their assets abroad, hiding them, or employing innovative lawyers, accountants and lobbyists to create and take advantage of loopholes, which, in turn, would have a negative impact on a country’s economy.
