I think studying in a group is much better as, firstly, it is more affordable than one-to-one classes, but at the same time it is not less efficient. Further, there’s competitive spirit that forces everyone to study hard regardless of the circumstances. Even when students are tired they cannot let themselves skip doing homework because they don’t want to be worse than their groupmates. 0ne more advantage is that group lessons have far more energy than one-to-one classes due to interaction between group members.

I would say one-to-one classes are far better as you don’t have to compete for the teacher’s attention and you can study at your own pace. Sometimes if you don’t understand a topic, you can ask your teacher to spend more time on it which would be an unlikely event in a group. One more thing that appeals to me is that a course is tailored to be exactly what you want.
