One more thing that makes parents buy stuff for kids again and again is the fact that they don’t want their children to be bullied at school for not having the latest ‘must-have’ items or don’t want to disappoint kids for whom being under peer pressure is quite stressful. Well, and l’d also like to mention the pang of guilt which acts as a driving force for buying as many gifts to kids as possible. Parents have to work a lot these days and as a result, a lot of them feel guilty for this, so guilty that they are ready to succumb to their children’s demand for gifts in order to just feel a little bit better.
